Clinton N’Jie: I will be like a new signing for Spurs next season

Tottenham winger, Clinton N’Jie couldn’t show his best in his debut season for Spurs as it was an injury that kept him out from December until a brief appearance last weekend.

Even before the injury, the Cameroon international barley featured for Spurs as he signed last summer from Lyon. The player admitted it was a frustrating season but promised he will make a bigger impact next season, and show supporters what he can bring to the team.

Speaking to club’s official website, Clinton N’Jie said: “Next season I think I’m going to be like a new signing to this team because I still have a lot to offer to our supporters and my team-mates.

“I just wish that next season I will be fitter so I can perform how I know I can and make everyone happy.”

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino lines up Liverpool star Adam Lallana for £20million summer reunion

MAURICIO POCHETTINO wants a stunning reunion with Adam Lallana in a £20million summer deal.

The Tottenham boss will ask chairman Daniel Levy to make the Liverpool midfielder his No1 target when the window opens.

Poch worked with Lallana at Southampton during his spell at St Mary’s – and now wants him for a Premier League title challenge next season.

It will be the SECOND time Pochettino has tried to land the 27-year-old after attempting to buy him when he first arrived at White Hart Lane.

He had just left Saints and it wasn’t possible to raid his old club for talent, with Lallana heading to Anfield in a £25million deal.

“I watch their games whenever my schedule at Real allows it.”

Modric said he had been watching the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli play and has been impressed by what he’s seen, believing them to be great additions to England in major tournaments, starting with this summer at Euro 2016.

“They are playing well and guys like Harry Kane deserve to see how they can do at a big international tournament.

Six-game Ban For Dembele!

Tottenham’s Mousa Dembele has been banned for six matches over his clash with Diego Costa on Monday night

Dembele was charged with violent conduct after cameras showed him appearing to gouge the Chelsea striker’s eye during a stormy 2-2 draw that ended Spurs’ title hopes.

The midfielder opted against contesting the charge but did dispute the Football Association’s claim that the standard three-match ban would be “clearly insufficient”.

Dembele will now miss the first four games of next season and the remainder of Spurs’ run-in as they take on Southampton and Newcastle aiming to secure second place and their best Premier League finish.
